Dorothy Merritt, MD is certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine and has been practicing medicine in the Galveston County area for more than 22 years. She is dedicated to the health of this community and your family.
Dr. Merritt was raised in Kansas and attended medical school at the University of Kansas. She completed her Internal Medicine training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She has been active in developing programs that maximize health and wellness while identifying and treating environmentally caused illnesses. Dr. Merritt uses many natural approaches to prevention of illness and integrates them into her primary care practice.
Dr. Merritt enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is especially proud of her two grown daughters and her husband Robert.

Fan Li, MD

Fan Li, MD joined Mainland Primary Care Physicians in April 2009. He is is a board certified family medicine physician who graduated from medical school in Beijing, China. He received his orthopaedic training in China and at New York University School of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at UTMB, Galveston, TX. He has practiced family medicine in Galveston County for nine years. Dr. Li is also trained in wound care, hyperbaric medicine and acupuncture medicine and is certified in opioids addiction treatment. He has practiced in Texas City since 2003. His practice includes outpatient and hospital inpatient care.
Dr. Li integrates his knowledge of family medicine, orthopaedics and acupuncture in his practice. He is a dedicated physician and always places patient care as his top priority.
As a resident of Galveston County, Dr. Li has participated in community activities such as sports physicals for children, team doctor for high school athletic departments, etc. He has a wonderful family. His wife works in the medical research area at UTMB in Galveston and they have a daughter who is a medical student at UT Medical School in Houston. Dr. Li considers Galveston County, particularly the Texas City and LaMarque area, his home and will continue to contribute his knowledge and experiences to serve the people in this community.

Yohmarie M. Cajigas, MD

Dr. Yohmarie M. Cajigas earned he doctorate of medicine degree from Ponce School of medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduates training in the University of Puerto Rico where she obtained Her Bachelors in premedical sciences.
Dr. Cajigas has been a Board Certified family practitioner since 2004. She completed her residency at St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown Ohio. In addition to private practice she has experience in urgent care medicine and correctional medicine.
She has had the opportunity to be a faculty member of the Northeastern Ohio University school of Medicine and the Medical Director of NEOCC in Ohio. Dr Cajigas is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.
Dr Cajigas is married and is the proud mother of a young daughter. On her spare time she enjoys cooking and travel.
